Ready to dial in?

A few steps from your first game.

Before you play

Install the original Windows game.
Download the archived Windows installer ↗
Run the installer and follow its setup steps. The download is hosted by the Internet Archive.
Create your account and pick a starter.
Use an invitation from your host to register. You’ll use this account to sign in to the game.
Connect to Kawoosh Online.
Close the game and LaunchPad, then follow the one-time Windows setup to point the original game and updater at our server.
Let LaunchPad update the game.
Use the installer’s Stargate Online TCG shortcut. For the first update, right-click it and choose Run as administrator so it can update the files in Program Files. LaunchPad downloads the launcher setup and Update 1 automatically. When it finishes, click Play.
Use this shortcut each time you play. If a future update cannot save its files, close the launcher and run the shortcut as administrator again.
Open your starter and join Casual Games.
Sign in, open Collection → Packs, and open your starter. Select your online deck when creating or joining a game. Both players click Ready to begin.

ONE-TIME WINDOWS SETUP

Connect to our server.

The original game still looks for Sony’s servers. These two entries in your Windows hosts file direct it to Kawoosh Online.

Open Notepad as administrator.
Search for Notepad in the Start menu, right-click it, choose Run as administrator, and approve the Windows prompt.
Open the hosts file.
In Notepad, choose File → Open. Change the file type to All Files (*.*), then open:
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
Add these two lines.

107.175.89.179 sdkccg-dev2.station.sony.com
107.175.89.179 patch.station.sony.com
```
If either hostname is already listed, change its IP address to 107.175.89.179 instead of adding a duplicate. Leave other entries alone.
Save, then reopen LaunchPad.
Choose File → Save. Keep the filename hosts, with no .txt extension.

If LaunchPad still cannot update or start the game, ask your host for help with the launcher setup.

Practice against DanielBot

In Casual Games, create a game named Bot or Bot: Daniel. DanielBot joins with the Daniel Jackson starter and readies automatically. Select your deck and click Ready to begin.

Standard and Practice both work, including password-protected games. This is a beginner opponent; it uses fixed decision rules and does not see your hand.
